Buses to Tadcaster

tadcaster_125Tadcaster is served by weekday bus services from 4 directions: Leeds, York, Wetherby and Sherburn. The main service is the Coastliner service running from Leeds to York and the Coast. During the day, buses run every 30 minutes on this route, hourly on Sundays.

tadcaster_073Tad Faster is also a new hourly bus service direct from York to the bus station on the east side of the town. Sherburn is served by a bus every hour, running until the mid-afternoon. Some of these buses run through to Pontefract. The 923 service to Wetherby is quick. Service 37 runs up to three times a day to York through the Ainsty villages north of Tadcaster.

If you are visiting Tadcaster using the train, it is best to use York Station as the Coastliner bus stop is just outside the station. If you travel via Leeds station, the best Coastliner stop is at Leeds Bus Station, about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the station.

Tadcaster is just off the A64, a couple of miles from the A1M and the northern end of the M1. Parking is free in Tadcaster. There is a small car park next to the bus station and a larger one in the centre of the town.
